JP 7- Little Nightmares - Big Fun

 Hey All,

This blog I wanted to do something other than my normal stoic quote. Although I would normally do both, I just do not have the time today as I just got the chance to sit down and already have to leave in 30 minutes. This means I am just going to choose one topic for today. Little Nightmares.

For those of you who are not familiar, Little Nightmares is a game on PC that I recently just replayed. The game is a 2.5D puzzle-platform horror game. It is one of my favorites and has a story and atmosphere that I just absolutely love. That being said, after spending about 6 hours to replay the entire game, I figured it would be fun to rank my favorite monsters. Due to this, I give a very minor SPOIL WARNING. Although it will not spoil the gameplay, it will spoil what you run into. I am going to rank these monsters based off of how much I enjoyed them and how much they freaked me out, so of course, you may all see it differently. The rankings will be in order from best to worst (imo). Lastly, I want to recommend the game to everyone. It is such a fun one to play and leaves you thinking about the lore.

RANKINGS

Rank One : The Janitor

Starting off with the Janitor as #1. This dude had my heart pounding during his chapter. His grotesque look and freakishly long arms that can grab from distances other mosnters cannot had me stressing out frequently. He is also the first monster you hit in the game so it absolutely sets the tone for the rest.

Rank Two : The Twin Chefs

These two freaks were such fun characters in the game. Their chapter is actually the second you hit and is a blast. These guys give off such eerie vibes and have the most stressful end to a chapter in my opinion. Fun fact about them - if you look closely during the game, you can see that their faces are not what they appear, and it looks like they may be wearing someone elses skin as a mask.

 Rank Three : The Guests

These guys and gals are the ones that made me the most uncomfortable in the game. They also had the most interesting and coolest entrance of any of the monsters. On top of all this, they also had what I believe to be the second most stressful part of the entire game.

Rank Four : The Shoe Monster

Now this one is a very quick monster you run into but still made my heart race. It is not freaky through look (you never actually see it) but its moment in the game is a stressful one. It's one of those monsters that chases you, and if you are not very quick with your actions will catch up and grab you, leaving you stressed out and praying that your character can move faster,

                                                          Rank Five: The Lady

Okay. So this monster is absolutely great, definitely scary, and has a very cool but brief chapter of facing her. The reason I ranked her so low, even lower than the very fast shoe monster, is not because she is worse but rather because I think she had a lot more potential. This low ranking is me making a statement. She is such an eerie and cool character but I think a lot more could have been done with her. She is probably tied for the most stressful parts of the game. Again, I wish it was just longer and more was done.

Rank Six: The Eye
Pretty cool little addition. Imagine a security camera in the shape of an eye and if it spots you, it turns you to stone. Fun idea but very briefly used.

Rank Seven: Leeches

Its fine. They are fine. Literally just a bunch of leeches that drop down and try to get ya. Fun addition but low class.

That's all folks! Thank you for reading!
