Many of you may be aware of my time spent playing ROBLOX back when it was a very small web-based game. Lucas and I were introduced to ROBLOX by our cousin way back in August 2007 and to put it into perspective, my account ID is 52,770. The website currently has around 8.3 billion accounts and 89 million daily users. If you're familiar with the game and would like to see my profile click here! I'm still very proud of it.
Lucas and I both deeply enjoyed everything the game had to offer and dedicated countless hours doing everything there was to do with and around ROBLOX. This included but was not limited to: creating popular ROBLOX games that led to untold in-game riches that later became convertible to cold hard US dollars; posting on the official forums where we were both incredibly active; creating and running a clan; creating YouTube videos; buying and trading in-game gear, primarily hats, that were essentially an early version of NFTs; and last but not least, running a blog of our own.

This blog was called "What's New in ROBLOX?". Lucas and I created the blog in February 2008 after I had completed an interview for a community run magazine called "RoGo". I discovered that I very much enjoyed writing about the game we loved so dearly. I sadly couldn't find a copy of the first-edition RoGo magazine since it was a PDF that was actually created in-game (pretty cool) but what we do have is access to the old blog that we created. The blog ran from February 2008 to April 2008 and then was revived in December 2011 where it hosted new content until March 2012.
What follows are excerpts from some of my favorite articles that I found while revisiting the site and unlocking hidden memories. 2008 Hat Update
I learned from reviewing this blog site that both my writing and post formatting improved greatly between our 2008 run (when I was 12) and late 2011 when I was 16. There's not a lot worth reading from 2008 but there were some good stream of consciousness posts. This one serves as a good early example of what we were trying to do with the blog. The ROBLOX Catalog has made 2 new hats. First off, they took the original 2007 ROBLOX Visor off sale and made a new 2008 ROBLOX Visor! Its a blue and black visor that looks pretty cool and at this minute has sold 2,000 hats!!! Wow, that hat is going to be super popular.
The second hat is the Bluesteel gift of long years. This mysterious hat has just been added to the catalog as well. Nobody knows yet what it contains or how to get it but it will be fun to find out for all of us! Some say you have to message a person named Julius but I think it is for roblox veterans. Many people already are guessing what it is but are not sure of the wonders in this gift!

We’re Back Online!
I am so sorry about being offline for a while. We have hat testing in school and I’ve had a lot of projects. So im sorry that we have been offline and will be posting regularly again. Regularly is about every couple of days or more often depending on whats new in roblox! Ill probably be posting a secret interview tomorrow as a present for staying with us when we were offline! Special thanks to Bloshi for reminding me to update the site! Lets give him a round of applause! XD
Well, in other news, the egg hunt was a huge success with the exception of *cough* Alix *cough. Lol. Post how many eggs you got here! I got all 11! Also I will be stopping the tix giveaway for a little while *hears booing* Sorry about that! Im trying to get my goal of 100,000 tix! Im about 5,000 away at this moment so keep visiting my places! 2011 – A Look Back
Today 12/31/11, ROBLOX will be transforming into 2012. A brand new year.
This has been one of roblox’s best years. Not only for the company, but for the many users within. As 2011 went on, many new things were added that helped many players enjoy the advancing game, that we know as roblox. For ROBLOX’s 22 million users, this has been a wonderful year. ROBLOX has introduced many new features to help its players. One of the hot features of revealed in 2011, terrain, is a big advancement. The terrain, is a feature that can be either generated to your specifications, or you can place your own terrain in your very own unique way. Besides all the building features, this year roblox, has also helped its investors.
Throughtout this year, ROBLOX said thank you to many of its players by releasing many rare items for its fellow collectors/investors. Some of the best items of the year, where brought on by players simply asking, or roblox being its kind self. Here is a look through just a few of the tremendous items of 2011:

Red Sparkle Time Fedora Review
Last night, ROBLOX released the next Sparkle Time Fedora! This time, it’s red! The sparkle time fedora (referred to by many as the STF) came out during Christmas 2007 and ROBOX has just recently gained some kind of interest on reviving the Christmas 2007 hats (the Night Vision Goggles are another example). I wonder what could be next! ROBLOX has also started to show an interest in retexturing the classic sparkle time fedora. They released the purple sparkle time fedora about 4 months ago. So, without further ado, here’s our review of the brand new red sparkle time fedora!
Original cost -- 10,000 ROBUX
Mesh: 9
ROBLOX took the basic fedora mesh, which would normally get a 10/10, but this one is a little small as you may notice in the picture depicted. ROBLOX may or may not fix this.
Texture: 9
The texture is a simple re-color of the classic STF texture. It gets a 9 only because it’s a simple retexture.Price: 7
It’s a little expensive, but still worth it for such a great hat. Right now, the prices are through the roof. If you can get this for cheap enough, it’s a great investment because of its high demand.Overall: 8.3
This hat is guaranteed to be an instant classic and won’t be forgotten like a lot of other hats. This classy hat is well worth the ROBUX and it’s great for collectors.==Kman786==

On May 17, 2008 I was interviewed for "Roblox Direct", which was a fellow Wordpress blog made by a ROBLOX player named SonicBoy. I don't recall him or this interview specifically, but it offers a fun glimpse into my mind at the time. This interview was posted exactly 2 months before my 13th birthday. I wouldn't meet my beautiful wife until 14 years later! The interview itself can be found here. I have pasted it below and added some commentary in italics.
Q: Where did you learn your scripting and building skills? On roblox or elsewhere?
A: Well I still dont know how to scipt that well. My building skills I just developed on roblox over the months. I started as a huge noob with no lego building experience at all.Q: Who is your main friend on roblox?
A: Well that would probably be BROofRANGE or WonkaKid. I still have a lot of friends I talk to a lot.
I actually remember these names.
Q: How do you make your custom shirts (what program ect.)?
A: Well…To be honest I just started about 1 week ago and my business has really taken off. Its really hard to explain unless you just play around with transparent layers and deleting the white of your picture and stuff. I use the GIMP. You can download it for free at http://www.gimp.com.
I learned that I liked graphic design through ROBLOX and became photoshop certified in high school partially because of that discovery. I did a ton of custom creations of shirts and logos at first. I later designed a ton of ads after ROBLOX implemented a community-created ad feature where you could run ads on the site for your games/items/clans in exchange for in-game money.
Q: If you could have one custom made hat for you only; what would you want?
A: Well…Im kinda good at making hats but one that I have had trouble with is probably the computer error screen…Its basic but hard.
Q: What was your favorite contest and why?
A: Probably the roblox lands of tomorrow contest because I won in the Places of tomorrow catagory and people made awesome things out of clay, lego, ect.
I vividly remember this contest because I submitted a school project that I was proud of and just made up a prompt that the project would fit. The pictures won't load but click here for the announcement post.
A: No. I used to play Club Penguin but stopped playing after about 5 months in August last year. Im gonna go longer than that with roblox.

Q: No offense if you… take offense but your bloxcity place and other of your places seem to be loosing popularity. Do you think so and why?
A: Well…Uhh..I dont see why you say New Blox City is losing popularity its been on most popular all of Today and yesterday (4/7-4/8). But yes, some of my older places are losing popularity and I have started to replace some of them.
I was right to be taken aback by this question. My most popular games were yet to come.
Q: I say this every interview but do you have any words for the people trying to be like you or the people reading this interview?
A: For all you people new to roblox. Everything can be accomplished if you set your heart to it. People like Stealth Pilot, Are92, Miked, and me started as a noob at one point just like you. All you have to do is have a dream and a goal.
These gamers are still my heroes. I remember their games vividly.
